Pray for Keith

Here's a few recent pics of Cora. We'll be packing up this week to head home on Friday. Jake has a week off of school. We are so excited to see family & friends! This week has been very tough as Jake's dad went to Mayo Clinic and found out he has lung cancer. He hopes to come home next week but if he can't we will go to Rochester to see him. Please keep him and the family in your prayers.

Here is Cora watching her mobile. I bought it on Ebay after reading great reviews about it and she just loves it. However, I just heard today that researchers are now saying that all of the noise/stimulating toys the kids play with are contributing to the rise in ADD/ADHD. Quess we should take out the batteries!

Labor Day Weekend

We had a great weekend spending time with my parents. The pictures below were taken Saturday night at a park near our place. Cora was good so I think she likes having other people around. She probably gets bored with just seeing her parents all the time! We went out to eat a few times, did a little shopping, went to church, and played Dominoes and cards. It was nice and relaxing.

The last days of summer...

Looks like Cora beat Jake to his chair and remote! HA! Had the door open Saturday to let air in as it was such a beautiful day. Went for a walk in the afternoon and ran across a garage sale that was ending. Got the new style of a Johny Jumper thing and a Leap Frog activity center. What a find! Then we went to some friends from church house for supper. They have twin girls who are 9 months old so it was fun to see the difference between their age and Cora's. Yesterday Jake and I played basketball at the rec center while Cora slept in her stroller.

Tried to get her to smile and get a good pose but she wasn't in the mood!

Bumbo

Cora is sleeping so much better lately, but quess what?... I'm not! So I'm up late tonight and thought I'd make a quick entry in my blog showing you what Cora and I got today when we went to Cheyenne. It's called a Bumbo and it's supposed to be really good for babies posture, helping them develop strong neck and back muscles. So far I think she likes it. I just can't believe my little baby is getting so big!

Smiles!

Cora is full of smiles and sounds lately. Jake is especially good at getting her to squeal in delight. I had the flu a few days this week but so far Jake and Cora are staying healthy.

Jake in Uniform

Here's Jake at the end of the day. He can get pretty dirty some days if they worked in the shop. He's happier if they don't have to sit in the classroom all day. Today is his last day of Powertrains (his first session) so he is probably taking the final test right now. He really enjoys playing intramural basketball that Wyotech has.

Now he's changed into his daddy uniform. Looks like Cora wasn't too entertained by daddy's truck shows. She sure keeps her eyes wide open when she watches Baby Einstein.

Worship

We feel very blessed as we have found a wonderful church that has made us feel so welcome. It is called Laramie Valley Chapel. They currently meet in the high school but will move into their new church building shown below in September. On Monday nights we attend a young couple's Bible Study. There are around 10 other couples who come and most bring their children along. The church is full of lots of little kids so that is good to see. Jake went to the church last Sunday afternoon and helped as they had a work day.
